Welcome to Honest Fitness Advice! My name is Nathan, and I’m here to help you take control of your fitness goals.
Too often, the average person looking for help with fitness comes across a website promoting a fitness program that sounds like the kind of help they need. They look over the website. They hear the sales pitch. Everything sounds perfect, so they buy the program.
The only problem is, the program isn’t designed for the average person. It’s either meant for people who already have experience in the world of fitness, or the site owner is looking to cash in on someone’s desire to get in shape without actually wanting to help.
Here at Honest Fitness Advice, like the name implies, I honestly want to give fitness advice that the average person can put to use.
Why Should You Trust Me?
I have always been interested in fitness.
Whether that was as a teenager when I first became interested in weight lifting, or as an adult when I was first asked for advice as to how to get into shape. I believe that everyone has it in them to take control of their own health and fitness.
Maybe they just need a little help understanding the basics of diet.
Perhaps they want to understand how to build a fitness routine that they can fit into their everyday life.
Sometimes they want someone to make sense out of all the different options available for losing weight or toning muscle.
Whatever their needs, it doesn’t have to be as complicated as it may seem. More often than not, little changes can make a huge difference. And it is my goal here to show you how to incorporate those little changes into your life, instead of jumping right into a big, fancy routine that you simply aren’t ready for.
I Really Am Here to Help.
Something that really makes me angry is all the so-called “Exercise Gurus” who promise to sell you a program that can get you in shape with just 4 exercises, 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week. These men and women stand up in front of a camera, their perfectly sculpted bodies on display, and PROMISE that you can look just like them with their program.
Is it possible to look like them?
Can you do it with just 4 exercises, 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week?
Not a chance.
Most of these “Gurus” tell you that the program they’re selling you is the same one they used to get the body they’re flaunting in their sales video. But if you take a few minutes to look deeper into their website, or maybe on their YouTube channel, you can very often find a video of the actual workout they do. It may be titled something like “A Full Workout”, or “A Day at the Gym”.
Watch those videos, and you might be surprised to find that their full workout isn’t just 4 exercises. It’s closer to 15.
It isn’t 20 minutes. More in the ballpark of 3 hours.
And if you look close enough, you’ll see that in all of those exercises, and all those hours they’re putting in, they’re only targeting a small number of muscles. That means they have to work out that many hours, with that many exercises, AT LEAST 3 days a week to hit every muscle group.
Furthermore, an effective routine should hit every muscle group twice a week. So now we can see that they make exercise a full-time job.
Here at Honest Fitness Advice, I’m not going to sell you the workout routine that I perform. I’ve been doing this for years. What I offer is advice for you to ease your way into fitness. The trick to getting started on this journey is to take small steps. Make small changes in your day-to-day routine. Continue with one set of changes for a period of time, and then build on them. That’s what I’m going to teach you here.
The Bottom Line…
The “Gurus” are going to sell you a program for $50. Or maybe a membership to their website for $10 a month.
Can you get in shape this way? Yes.
But is it likely? No.
Because if you’re just starting out, these programs are going to be too intense, you’re going to get frustrated, and you’re going to give up.
I know, because I’ve seen it happen.
I’m going to offer you free access to my website. ALL OF IT. Keep checking back, and following the updates. There will be entries taking the mystery out of dieting. I’ll offer advice on simplifying what it takes to build an effective workout routine. I am even going to include instruction on how to perform various exercises. All of this is yours for the low price of $0!
I am also working to write a guide that brings everything together in a simple, coherent package that you can start putting to use on day one. It will tell you how to make simple changes to your diet that will make big changes to your fitness goals. It will tell you how to implement the different aspects of cardio and resistance-training in a way that you can actually stick to it.
Now you’re probably expecting the part where I tell you this guide is necessary to make sense of the information on this website, and it’s all yours for just $49.99!
I’m not going to do that.
You can take the information on this site and put it to use without the guide. The guide is simply a way to put it all together, and lay it all out. The only reason I’m writing it as a guide instead of putting it on this site is it’s too much information for a website. To put it all together in a coherent package would create web pages that went on forever!
And, no, it won’t cost $49.99. I will develop this guide as a PDF file, available for immediate download. I didn’t want to turn it into a book, or a DVD, because these have big production and shipping charges involved. The PDF I will be able to offer for $5, which is enough to help me keep this website up and running, and bringing you new information and help on your journey to a healthier you. Just remember, you don’t need this guide. It will just make things a little easier.
You have what it takes to take control of your fitness, and I’ll be here every step of the way to help.
Best wishes on your journey,
P.S. Remember, if you ever have questions, or need help, or even just a little encouragement, feel free to reach out. You can leave a comment, or send me an e-mail, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
