I love this little blender! It sits in the corner on my counter, always within easy reach. If I decide I want to make myself a smoothie, I can pull it over any time and whip up a delicious, healthy treat in seconds.
A Quick Overview
Is it easy to use? Very easy to use. If you can push a button, and follow simple steps to fill the canister, you can use this.
Does it actually make a smoothie? Yes, it does. You won’t get mush. You’ll get a real SMOOTHIE!
Is it quiet? Sorry, but no. It is pretty noisy.
Is it expensive? Not at all. It’s usually under $100 on Amazon.
How Easy Is The Nutri-Ninja?
It just takes a single button to get perfect results. Every time.
The “Blend” button runs a 30-second blend cycle. You’ll use this for mixing all fresh fruits and vegetables. Softer varieties work best.
The “Ultra Blend” button runs a 45-second cycle. You’ll use this one if your recipe calls for frozen fruits, tough or fibrous vegetables, nuts, or seeds.
There’s no need to shake the canister or scrape the sides like some typical blenders. The blend cycle is fast and powerful enough that everything gets pulled down into the blades, giving you a smooth, consistent texture.
How do you fill the canister?
Fresh fruits and vegetables go in first. Then any nuts, seeds, or powders you want to add. After that you can add juices or yogurt. Any frozen fruits or ice you want go in last.
Then you just screw the blender cap on, set it in the base, and push “blend”. It’s that easy to make a smoothie with the Nutri-Ninja
Will It Be A Chunky Mess?
With the Nutri-Ninja you’ll never have to worry about that chunky, mushy consistency you get with a typical department store blender.
The motor is incredibly powerful for such a small unit. Once those blades start spinning, anything you put in that canister to make your smoothie will be unrecognizable.
The design of the canister even aids in this. It’s tall and narrow, so once it starts blending your ingredients have nowhere to go but down. No more shaking. No more scraping. Everything gets pulverized to a nice, consistent drink.
When this product tells you it can make a smoothie, it means a SMOOTHIE!
Am I Going To Wake The Neighbors?
Maybe not the neighbors, but your dog or cat probably won’t like you for a few minutes.
It may be small, but it’s powerful. And with that power, sadly, comes some noise. It’s not going to bring the roof down on you, but I wouldn’t try talking on the phone when you push the go button.
Really, the noise is the only negative I can come up with on this product. I’ve had mine for over 2 years now, and it still makes a perfect smoothie every time I pull it out.
If It’s That Good It Must Be Expensive
Not at all.
The Auto-iQ Blender is generally around $100 at Amazon. It’s a little more than an Oster or Hamilton Beach from the shelf at Wal-Mart, but if you want to make a real smoothie, it’s worth the cost.
Is $100 still a little too expensive? Then try the Nutri-Ninja Pro Blender. Like the Auto-iQ, it’s a very good product. This one generally sells for around $70. The only reason I rate the Auto-iQ higher than the Pro is that it works on timed programs. The Pro Blender works on pulses that you control by pressing down on the canister. For a difference of $30, I went with the convenience of letting the Auto-iQ do the work for me!
If You Choose A Nutri-Ninja I Think You’ll Be Pleased
Like I said, I’ve had my Auto-iQ for over 2 years. It’s still going just as strong as the day I bought it.
And I use it… A LOT!!!
I really do love this little blender. It’s quick. It’s easy. And the blender canister becomes a to-go cup.
That’s a hard combination to beat!
You can get one right here! I’m pretty sure you’ll be glad you did.
